Watch film mystery road. Aaron pedersen played a sympathetic insightful strong character as a lawman. Slow burning modern day western centring on a police detective who returns to his hometown to undertake an investigation into the brutal murder of a teenage aboriginal girl. Taut great script depth in characterization never dragged.

I can understand why it wouldn t appeal to everyone as it is a slow burner and therefore requires a bit of patience and effort to watch and moves at an easy pace whereas it is cerebral so i m sure some people just don t have the mental synapses firing on enough. Great sceenplay and direction by ivan sen. Add to my list.

The movie mystery road was excellent. This film is deep certainly a lot deeper than your average slasher flick summer blockbuster or humdrum horror movie. All this changed in the series.
